ARCH1390 - Assignment 2 - DA Submission Part 1

 Site Analysis

Site Analysis Drawing based on Survey

On Saturday afternoon, 5th October 2013 I am doing site inspection to the client site (house) (5 Wyargine St, Mosman). The wind was very smooth when I visited that site (approximately 1 km/hr - 5 km/hr) and come from the sea, so it facing or toward the house. The sun was rising from the sea, so the house will get a morning sunshine. The first floor of the house was around 2m rise from the street, the reason behind that might be to get better view of the sea from the house. When I come to the site, I was surprised by the house on that site, it's different with the one that I look at the Google Map, the existing house now look strong and beautiful. Moreover, this house also located near the Edwards beach (just approximately 70m) due to that this house got really an amazing view. This house was located in 50km/hr zone, and have 4 bus stop near the house, however, those bus stop do not operate on Saturday and Sunday. It just took 3-4 minutes (by car) to the main road (Millitary Rd) and took around 15 mins- 20 mins (by car) to the Sydney CBD. Furthermore, Beside this sketch drawing I also have some images taken from the site to show the actual house, the views from the house etc. On the Sketch drawing, I put number 1 until 7 (in box) to show the location where I took those pictures. These are the pictures that I already took from the site :

(box) 1 - The house on the site

(box) 2 - The pathway down to the Balmoral Beach (~30m) it just took araound 40m to get to this path from the site

(box) 3 - The house on the site taken from the front neighbor house

(box) 4 - The North East View from the site

(box) 5 - Try to capture the site from Burran Ave, the brown wall house is number 7 (beside the site)
