Design Concept
During last studio, I am try to make the concept design of the house for my client. Actually, Wesley helping me with the design concept. The basic concept of mine for my client is about huge roof. Most of Prix (Coop Himmelb(l)au) building used 'roof" as the main area of the building or making the roof extremely overlaying the lower part. These two buildings are my inspiration of this idea.

Furthermore, Wesley try to helping me to develop my idea. He got an idea about 'box overlay by tissue' it was like the folding exercise. So the idea is about the roof which overlay the 'box' (house) smoothly, hence we got two extremely different shape combined together but quite smoothly.
Another idea is about 'space crash'. So in the first idea is all about smooth and in the second idea is all about hard and extreme. The basic concept is about the spacecraft which collapse in the air and suddenly crash down to the house (box). So the idea is about combining two extremely different shape which are primitive shape such as box as the house and astonish shape like spacecraft as the roof. However, in this idea the 'roof' will act as the second floor of the house.

Furthermore, during spare time I am doing some research about the material for the house and I got two interesting material which I might be used. The first one is Corten material, it is a weathering steel, steel which is fast to rust and give some kind of rusty colour. Another one is wall panelling using white colour wood.
